Powered by Unreal Engine®. Bring open-world exploration of biotechnology into your classroom! This simulator allows you to explore a biotechnology laboratory, hone your skills, and test your knowledge of the procedural steps and equipment used for a bacterial transformation lab. As the simulation's laboratory tour begins, you'll walk down our hall and into the bacterial transformation lab. There you will inspect the equipment and reagents to be used. You then will be required to answer a series of questions relating to the equipment, procedure, and concepts of bacterial transformation. Once successful, you will move into the laboratory exercise. This is where you will perform transformations using 4 different kinds of plasmids: pAMP, pGREEN, pBLU®, and pVIB.
This interactive simulator is based on Carolina's bacterial transformation kit protocols and follows those procedures step-by-step. With full functionality, the software lets YOU pick the single colonies, YOU perform the heat shock, YOU perform the experiment, and YOU see real results!
Use this lab simulation as a virtual or remote-learning standalone resource or as an introductory activity prior to performing the hands-on lab. The simulation can help students become familiar with lab vocabulary and procedures before actually performing the lab.
As a teacher, you will have access to a learning management system, whereby you set up users and give them permission to access the tours, testing site exercises, and more. You can manage user progress by reviewing scores and managing log time.
Powered by the Unreal Engine®, you and your students will experience life-like smooth graphics while engaged in a fun, familiar format. Deliver bacterial transformation labs in a new, safe, and effective environment. License duration is 1 year (12 months) from date of activation for up to 24 users.

REPORTING DAMAGED ITEMS AND SHORTAGES
All shortages, defects and deficiencies must be reported within 7 days of receiving the shipment. Merlan Scientific cannot assume responsibility for shortages reported after this period.

RETURNING GOODS
Before returning any item to Merlan Scientific, please call for a Return Authorization Number. Shipments received without authorization may be refused.
WARRANTY POLICY
Merlan Scientific warrants that each product will be free of defects in materials and workmanship for a period set forth in its published user manuals for its system products and for a period of one (1) year for its component products. The warranty commences on the date the product is shipped by Merlan Scientific. Merlan Scientifics’ sole liability and responsibility under this warranty is to repair or replace any defective product, which is returned to it by the buyer, and which Merlan Scientific determines qualifies for repair or replacement under the terms of the applicable warranty. The product returned to Merlan Scientific for warranty service will be shipped to Merlan Scientific at the buyers expense and will be returned to buyer at Merlan Scientifics’ expense. In no event shall Merlan Scientific be responsible under its warranty for any defect, which is caused by negligence, misuse or mistreatment of a product, or for any unit, which has been altered or modified in any way. The warranty of repaired and replacement products shall terminate with the original warranty of the product.
