Brassica rapa. This Wisconsin Fast Plants® seed is the standard for both form and performance. Just provide appropriate care conditions, and you can expect your plants to complete a full life cycle (what we call "seed to seed") in about 35 to 40 days.

Our Standard mutant seed stock is a standard for form and performance. It flowers in 13 to 17 days, and is variable for expression of purple pigment in stems. Main uses include life cycles, environmental science, botany, comparative morphology, and physiology. Genetic designation: Rbr.

Owl pellets are masses of undigested parts of food that owl species occasionally regurgitate. The contents of the owl pellet depends on its diet, but can include the exoskeletons of insects, indigestible plant matter, bones, fur, feathers, bills, claws, and teeth.

• Our individually wrapped pellets are heat sterilized at 250°F for 4 hours and cooled in the oven and are free of chemicals.

With the contents of the Renewable Energy Education Set, construct an entire miniature renewable energy system for experimentation and demonstration. A PC and distilled water are needed but not included. The temperaturerange from -25 to 100 °C covers the larger part of all basic thermostatic applications withinthe laboratory. This is exactly the working temperature range of the new LAUDA Alpha. This well-pricedequipment range is made possible by minimizing any unnecessary features, with the focus on reliabilityand user-friendliness.

The thermostats are suitable for operation with non-flammable liquids (water, water/glycol) and forboth internal and external thermostating tasks. A 1-point-calibration of the thermostats canbe carried out by the user.

Alpha Immersion thermostat

The immersion thermostat A can be used for any bath with a wall thickness of up to 25mm by means of the screw clamp included in the scope of delivery. Using the optionalpump circulation set and a cooling coil, the immersion thermostat can be expandedto form a full-fledged thermostating system.

 

Alpha Heating thermostats

The heating thermostats A 6, A 12 and A 24 operate in the temperature range between 25and 100 °C. As in the case of the immersion thermostats, a cooling coil and pumpcirculation set as well as a bath cover set are available as optional accessories.

Alpha Cooling thermostats

The cooling technology of the cooling thermostats RA 8, RA 12 and RA 24 enables coolingperformance through the entire temperature range of -25 up to 100 °C. A drain connectionon the rear side of the devices makes emptying the heat transfer liquid a simplejob. Bath covers and pump kits are included in the standard equipment.

LAUDA process thermostats of the Kryoheater Selecta (KHS) series ensure high-performance temperature control at high energy efficiency and reliability. The compact device construction provides a long service life and maintenance friendliness.

Corresponding to the lowest working temperature, two-stage compressors (up to -60 °C) and/or cascade cooling systems (up to -90 °C) are used. The condenser is cooled by means of cooling water. The cooling capacity is controlled continuously and precisely by injection control. A step switch ensures energy-saving and low-wear partial load operation using an automatic compressor system. By means of the electric heating, Kryoheater Selecta can cover an operating temperature of up to 200 °C.

The Kryoheater Selecta series consists of the two systems KHS 3560 W and KHS 2190 W, which are used in chemical and pharmaceutical production as well as for the simulation of environmental conditions in test stands of the automobile and aerospace industries.

Advantages ensured by nitrogen overlay

A nitrogen overlay permits the insulation of the heat transfer liquid from atmospheric oxygen in pressureless operation. This prevents an oxidation at high temperatures. Thus the life of the heat transfer liquid is extended drastically on the one hand and in addition the maximum operating temperature permitted is increased. In addition, the overlay prevents the condensation of air humidity at low temperatures. The Kryoheater Selecta process thermostats have been designed for pressurised operation. By a pressurized operation with nitrogen the advantages mentioned above are reached, and in addition the boiling points of the heat transfer liquids and thus the maximum permissible operating temperatures are increased.

Application example

Cooling process of a 250 L reactor between 20 and -50 °C

• High efficiency for every temperature setpoint value by using precisely harmonised refrigerants and frequency-controlled compressors. In case of KHS 2190 W, the two frequency-controlled compressors are automatically run in single or two stage operation depending on load and temperature.
• Transport of the heat transfer liquid with the required pressure by means of the 2.2 kW magnetically coupled and frequency controlled pump in the external consumer, such as a reactor.
• Limitation of the outlet temperature; programmable temperature ramps as well as Delta T limitations to take minimum and maximum temperature loads of reactors into consideration.
• Link to the process control system by various interface options enabled by the standard Siemens PLC control
